About Jane

I have spent the past 23 years developing our small rear garden. My aim is to achieve year round interest, both vertical and horizontal. Herbaceous perennials, along with clematis, roses and grasses are all favourites of mine.

In 1994 I started Oxhey Open Gardens, and with the support of many other gardeners over the years, this annual event has become a popular part of Oxhey life. See www.oxheyopengardens.co.uk for this year’s date.

Tailored to you.

Etiam ac ultrices libero. Morbi sed nibh lectus. Vestibulum massa lacus.

My husband and I have had an allotment at the Paddock Road site for over 20 years, and I have recently taken on another smaller allotment, where I am planning to have chickens.

In 2013, our garden featured on Gardeners World (BBC) as an example of an urban garden that is sympathetic to wildlife.

Our garden has also appeared in the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust magazine, emphasising planting that attracts wildlife.
